take my hand

A girl and her father wanted to cross a wooden bridge…

 The father said to his daughter:

 My daughter, take my hand and we will cross the bridge.

 The girl turned to her father and said:

 I won't "hold" your hand, hold mine...

 The father said:

 Why?!

 What difference does it make?!

 The "important" thing is to hold my hand and walk together…

 The girl said:

 "The difference is" that if I hold your hand, I may "let go" at any moment, but if you hold my hand, you will "never" let it go!

 This is exactly like the story of "our relationship with God";

 Whenever we "hold his hand" we may let go of his hand with any "negligence and ignorance".

 But if we ask him to hold our hand, he will never let go of our hand.

 * And this "means love..." *
