Fleming was a poor Scottish farmer.

One day, while looking for a living for his family, he heard a call for help from a nearby swamp.

He threw his things on the ground and ran towards the swamp.  A terrified boy, who was waist deep in the swamp, was screaming and trying to free himself.

Fleming saves him from a gradual and horrible death.

The next day, a luxurious carriage arrived at Farmer Fleming's humble home.  The nobleman introduced himself as the father of the boy that Farmer Fleming had rescued.  Nobleman said:

"I want to compensate you for saving my son's life".

 The Scottish farmer replied:

“I can't get paid for what I've done.”

At this moment, the farmer's son entered the hut.

 The nobleman asked:

 “Your son?”

 "Yes," answered the farmer proudly.

 We trade together.

Let me take him with me to study.   If he is like his father, he will become a man you will be proud of.

Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Medical School in London and went on to become famous throughout the world as Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin.

Years later, the nobleman's son contracted pneumonia.

 What saved him?

 Penicillin…
