Order and Responsibility

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Sam. Sam made a big mess at home. Whenever he came back from school, he would throw his socks in one place, toss his schoolbag on the couch, and when it was time to do his homework, he would spread his books and notebooks all over the floor. He would sharpen his pencil, and the shavings would end up all over the rug. When he played with his toy cars or other dolls, he would leave them on his bed and in front of his wardrobe without picking them up. His room was always cluttered; in short, he was very messy. His mother was constantly cleaning and organizing the house and Sam's room. No matter how much she told Sam, "Dear, please tidy up your room and put away your clothes," Sam never listened to her and continued being disorganized.

One day, Sam's friend Hossein gave him a gift at the last bell of school and asked him not to open the present until he got home. Hossein warned Sam to be careful because it was fragile. Sam was very curious to know what Hossein had bought for him, but at the same time, he had promised not to open the gift until he got home, so he put it in his backpack. When school was over, Sam happily and quickly went home, but on the way, he got really hungry. Since he was used to throwing his bag on the couch, he threw it the same way as soon as he came through the door and went straight to the kitchen. After having lunch, he remembered the gift, but found his bag was wet. Surprised, he unzipped his bag and took out the present to find that all his books and the wrapping paper were soaked. When he opened the gift, he saw a beautiful but broken snow globe, and its water had made everything wet. Sam was very upset. His mother, who had been watching him, said, "If you had been more organized and hadn't thrown your bag, the snow globe would be whole. What do you think this is now?" Sam sadly replied, "Hossein gave me this gift," and told his mother the whole story. Every time he wound up the snow globe to play its music, he would remember the broken glass of the globe.

From that day on, Sam decided to put aside his messiness.
