In a quiet village, there lived an old man who was known for his wisdom. One day, a young boy came to him, feeling troubled and confused about life. The boy expressed his frustrations about feeling torn between good and evil, constantly battling with negative thoughts and desires.

The old man listened patiently and then told the boy a story:

“I too have this battle that goes on inside of me. It is a fight between two wolves. One wolf is aggressive, filled with anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego. The other wolf is kind, filled with joy, peace, love, hope, humility, compassion, and faith.”

The boy was curious and asked, “Which wolf wins?”

The old man replied, “The one you feed.”

The young boy pondered over the story for a while. He realized that the thoughts and emotions he encouraged would shape his character and ultimately determine his happiness or sorrow.

From that day on, the boy made a conscious effort to focus on the positive aspects of life and nurture the good wolf within him. He surrounded himself with positive influences and engaged in acts of kindness. Slowly, he began to feel more at peace and began to see life in a new light.

Moral:

The story teaches us that we all have the capacity for both good and evil within us, but we must choose which side to nurture. Our choices shape our character and determine our happiness. Remember, whatever thoughts you choose to focus on, that is what will grow within you.
