The Lion and the Mouse

One sunny afternoon in the jungle, a mighty lion was sleeping soundly under a tree when a tiny mouse ran over his paw. Startled, the lion woke up and caught the mouse in his huge paw, ready to eat him. The mouse cried out, “Please let me go! I’ll repay your kindness!”

The lion, amused by the idea of a tiny mouse helping him, decided to let him go. "You’re so small; how could you ever help me?" he chuckled. The mouse thanked him profusely and scurried away.

Days later, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared and struggled, but it was no use. The tiny mouse, hearing the lion's roars, rushed back to help. He gnawed at the ropes holding the lion until they broke. The lion was free!

The lion looked at the mouse in disbelief. "I was wrong to doubt you," he said. "Your size means nothing; your heart is huge." From then on, they became the best of friends.
